Inner West Bathroom Renovations refers enquiries. We do not carry out building, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tiling or asbestos work. Enquiries made through this site are passed to the licensed builder we work in partnership with.
The builder
Renovation work arranged through this site is carried out in partnership with Coastal Renovation Group, a licensed NSW builder. Licence and insurance details are provided on request.
Please verify the licence yourself on the NSW Fair Trading public register before work begins, and ask to see a current certificate of insurance. The builder issues the quote, enters the contract with you, performs the work and is responsible for it, including any warranties and any home building compensation cover the job requires.
No other representations
We make no representation about the licences, qualifications or insurance of any person other than the builder named above, and we do not monitor insurance on an ongoing basis.
Asbestos
Asbestos removal is not part of a general renovation scope. In NSW it is licensed work carried out by a licensed asbestos removalist. A builder's licence does not authorise asbestos removal.
Many Inner West houses and unit blocks were built or altered before 1990, when asbestos-containing materials were still in use. If the property predates 1990, insist on testing before demolition.
Heritage, council and strata
Guidance on this site about heritage conservation areas, heritage items, exempt development and strata approvals is general. Decisions rest with the relevant council — Inner West Council, the City of Sydney or the City of Canada Bay — or with your owners corporation. Nobody on this site can guarantee an approval or its timing.
